The Thattai Compound for us is a place of ideas and growth. Named after the legendary commercial complex in the Old Town, Karachi, just off the
then Bunder Road, World Wide Group began its journey there. Located off MA Jinnah (formerly Bunder Road), Thattai Compound is a legendary commercial complex set up by a group of traders from Thatta at the beginning of the 19th century – hence the name.
Located a stone’s throw away from the KMC Building, and the City Court, the Thattai Compound and the Prathna Samaj Road have been the places in the heart of Karachi that have had the honor of housing the city’s oldest business communities such as the Memons, Bohras and the Khojas, who have contributed heavily to the progress of the city. The Thattai compound cafe was conceived considering our rich history and subsequent growth. It is a place where the exchange of ideas takes place; it is a place where fruitful conversations that encourage growth and development are welcomed, and it is a place where the future is chartered in the great shadow of our past.
